About Lindsey Russell

Lindsey Russell is a country music singer-songwriter, published author, and former English Language Arts teacher from Lexington, Tennessee.

She began composing songs at the age of twelve, inspired by her grandparents, who were singer-songwriters, too. Lindsey’s music was heavily influenced by their own rockabilly style, and she particularly enjoys writing songs that capture the “old-school” country music sound.

Lindsey further honed her writing craft while pursuing a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, and even more so when she accepted a position teaching seventh grade English Language Arts in her hometown.

In 2022, Lindsey began writing her own young adult novella, and in March of 2023, she accepted a contract with World Castle Publishing for the publication of her work, titled Theodore Robins and the Blood Dragon Curse. Lindsey is the recent winner of the 2023 West Tennessee Top Voice Competition, and she currently resides in Jackson, Tennessee, with her husband and their three children.
